Production Manager

Description

As our Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing a small team of four including a graphic designer, desktop publisher, QA manager, and a project support officer. The production team is involved in the creation of a diverse range of multilingual assets including audio, video, animations, social media, and print material. You will be responsible for ensuring all production tasks are completed on time and within budget while actively identifying and implementing opportunities to improve production workflows and processes. You will be required to attend client meetings to provide production advice. Your small team has over 30 years of combined experience in producing collateral customised for multicultural audiences. Although it will be your responsibility to manage the team, you will also be required to be 'on the tools' and involved in the production and QA of assets before they leave our studio. It is anticipated that you will spend up to 60% of your time on production tasks and 40% on management and client-side activities.
The role will be working closely with our larger clients and our account managers to deliver exceptional production outcomes across print, audio, video, and digital. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be working alongside three account managers and be supported by in-house cultural and linguistic subject matter experts. 

Responsibilities

  • 2+ years of proven experience in managing a design team
  • 5+ years experience in graphic design, including work performed in a marketing, advertising, or creative design field;
  • Significant experience with Adobe Creative & Experience Cloud
  • Experience in project and resource planning, and project reporting
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously and be accountable for your own decisions and those of your team
  • Ability to work confidently with internal stakeholders and external suppliers at all levels and with different personality types
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrable budget management experience
  • A passion for visual and digital communications, and a good eye for quality design
  • Experience in the development of multicultural/multilingual creative assets is preferred but not essential
