This role can be based in any location in the UK or the US.

 

Position summary

We are looking for a highly experienced, energetic, hyperorganized, and motivated project manager to handle a wide array of business tasks to support the work of our Chief Executive Officer. At the direction of the CEO, you will also support the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) as required. In this new role you will be a key change agent in an evolving, successful, and growing global organization. As Executive Project Management L ead, your primary role will be to assist the CEO in critical, day-to-day operational and executive work. This position is scoped specifically to allow our CEO to work better, faster, and with more insight across the entire organization – your contributions will be integral to this outcome. In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, and also enable the ELT to focus on the key strategic initiatives by assuming daily responsibilities for their effective output. You will also be responsible for working across the executive team to translate meetings and ideas into actionable plans and timelines. Key responsibilities

• Work directly with our CEO to transition, own, and drive forward key operational initiatives

• Keep the CEO accountable for commitments and drive direct report accountability for results

• Implement key operational processes across the company, ensuring full alignment and adherence across the organization

• Collaborate with department leads to develop, track, and target team-wide success across our quarterly operations reviews. Manage all planning sessions, check-ins, and review meetings alongside the CEO

• Model and demonstrate leadership principles complementary with our enterprise and team culture

• Build effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure all initiatives work toward effectively operationalizing planning goals and principles

• Navigate challenging and changing organizational dynamics with tact and confidence through established change management principles

• Provide clear, concise, transparent, and insightful communication to the team, executives, and a diverse set of stakeholders

• Be a connector from leadership to the rest of the organization, conveying and ensuring successful communication and implementation of critical organizational and operational decisions

• Work directly with the CEO to prepare data-driven updates for our board of directors and investors, helping prepare for quarterly board presentations and updates

• Prepare for and run key weekly and monthly meetings, including leadership meetings, All Hands , and other team-wide strategy discussions. Ensure participants are prepared for executive meetings

• Ensure clear takeaways from executive meetings are noted, communicated, and actioned with relevant stakeholders. Identify risks and issues and elevate to the CEO and appropriate executive leadership

• Assist with the coordination of proactive and transparent operational planning, budgets, program investments, and allocations across business units and functional organizations

• Any additional executive administrative projects or actions as assigned by the CEO

Responsibilities

Skills and experience required

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a program or project manager, or related role

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications in relevant business, marketing, finance, or a related field

• Experience leading cross-organizational, complex enterprise programs or projects utilizing internal and external resources

• Demonstrated ability to drive business insights and operational improvement in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

• Experience collaborating and supporting senior leaders and executives of a global company

• Ability to drive initiatives with minimal structure, and be influential within the organization to garner internal support for initiatives

• Proven excellent communication skills and experience building relationships across departments, managing conflict, and compromise

• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to break issues down into components and propose elegant/effective solutions

• Ability to work independently and deliver results with little supervision, and to prioritize tasks across multiple projects

• Ability to travel to support the CEO as required (post-COVID-19 restrictions)
